Makenna Burt, Reporter

Makenna Burt (she/her) is a junior at West High School, and is in her second year as a reporter on the Beak ’n’ Eye staff. Outside of the newspaper, she is a member of the dance, cheer, and golf teams. She is a multigenerational student, with her grandparents and father having attended West. Makenna loves to travel, and recently visited Jamaica on spring break and Minnesota over the summer. She hopes to keep students interested this year, by putting more focus on school sports news, and finding ways to appeal to them.
