West’s WING (Womens Impacting the Next Generation) Club hosted guest speaker Stephanie Seidl on Oct. 18 during Falcon Flex. Seidl works for Century Insurance,an agency that deals with commercial insurance, focusing on car dealerships.

Insurance is what people pay for to protect their belongings such as auto, health and life insurance.

“I knew about insurance before I came in the door, but I learned so much more after this experience,” senior Jacqueline Navarro said. “I learned how insurance is important for you not only now, but for your future.”

Seidl talked about her past and her college experience. She didn’t study, which made it hard for her to continue her education at a business college since she wanted to major in that field.

“I enjoyed how she talked about her past and how it affected her and where she is now,” sophomore Ny’ja Howard said.

Seidl worked at Century Insurance for eight years and continues to enjoy her job each day. She doesn’t get to go out and talk to schools often, but there are important things she wants people to know.

“You don’t have to know what you want to do with your future, it takes a lot of time to figure it out,” Seidl said. “It took me over five years to figure out what I wanted to do, I still am not sure if this is my set place yet.
