My name is Tiara Soppe and I’m a current senior here at West. I’m a new writer on the Beak ‘n’ Eye staff this year. Currently, I’m juggling AP classes while working in the office, senior class president, and reporting for the Beak ‘n’ Eye. After taking multiple courses and enhancing my writing skills, I decided to join the Beak ‘n Eye newspaper because it offered a challenge and more opportunities. The newspaper is the perfect way to use my voice and cover important topics. Joining the Beak ‘n’ Eye was a huge opportunity because of the platform it has and how the stories can influence other students or make a difference by bringing recognition to specific topics.
