In an attempt to kick off winter sports, on Tuesday, Dec. 14 students gathered in the gym to cheer on all the sports with the winter aud.

The band performed the fight song along with the drumline performing some of their other cadences. The drumline cadence is a short song consisting of only drums.

The Diamond Dancers performed with the cheerleaders to boost school spirit. The students were really excited when the basketball team went around throwing the basketball team t-shirts into the crowd.

Due to technical difficulties with the microphone not working with the intercom, it had to be dismissed earlier than anticipated despite coach and gym teacher Mark Bigler’s attempt to speak to the crowd.

“We tried salvaging the aud as best as we could, but it is technology so it has happened before,” Bigler said.

Without the microphone you could not hear the speakers over the crowd.

An aud to celebrate winter sports will be rescheduled for the near future, according to Athletic Director Kevin Petersen.
