Cast performs Guys and Dolls

Director Kristin Koski said she was pleased with the performances of the musical Guys and Dolls, which was held April 1-3 in the West High auditorium.

The actors “added their own character moments,” Koski said, and “made it (the play) come to life.”  The actors got so used to their character that they started to add their own flair to their role.

“Everyone worked really well together,” she said.  “There were so many people, yet there were no fights. Everyone got along, and everyone seemed really pleased with themselves.”

Koski said her favorite part of the Guys and Dolls was the rehearsal part. They had fun, and overall it went well, she said.

Drama Club was even able to raise a lot of money for the club for next year.

Koski is currently thinking about what plays to do next year. Unfortunately, she will not be directing any plays until next spring, because she’s having her baby. Although she will not be directing, she still plans on being involved in the plays.

“If you want to get involved, do it now,” she said. Drama Club meets every Tuesday after school.
