On Saturday Feb. 23 the two Robotics teams traveled to Des Moines to compete in the state robotics competition. At the competition, each teams robot had to put rings on pegs to receive points. After many rounds of competition the two teams, The Titanium Falcons and the Combustible Lemons, received first and second place in their brackets. “There were 48 teams and the teams were split into two brackets,” said senior Kyle Brammann. “The winners of the two brackets competed against each other for the state title.” The Titanium Falcons didn’t win their bracket, but The Combustible Lemons did. “We got second place in our bracket,” said Brammann. “The team that beat us competed against Lemons for the championships because they both won their brackets.” During the final round, The Combustible Lemons defeated the other first place team, winning the state title. “I was so pumped to win,” said senior Andy Snawerdt. Now that they won the State Championship, they will go on to another competition. “We go to the World championships in a few months,” said Snawerdt
